Our Reserve ‘The Mayor’ celebrates the story of Cabernet Franc, the noble parent of many Bordeaux varieties. Its dark-fruited profile, with notes of blackberry, sandalwood and dark chocolate, sets the foundation of the wine’s character. Given Cabernet Franc’s natural elegance, we build additional structure with Petit Verdot, while Malbec contributes savoury depth and layered complexity.

The naturally low yields of the 2021 vintage intensified each variety’s expression, bringing lifted notes of sour cherry, herbs and baked fruits. To integrate and harmonise these elements, a measured 8% new American oak was introduced, providing balance and gentle support without overshadowing the wine’s varietal identity.
